Our chosen track is 'Ink Settles In'by Andrea Storm Kaden. It a pop/indie acoustic track, with only Andrea vocals and an acoustic guitar on it. We have chosen this track because we like the song, its original and we feel we can create a strong music video with it.
We didn't want to create a stereotypical music video where there's lots of different instruments on it and the song is about falling in love and this song does the exacted opposite. Not many music promo are created for an acoustic track, especially one about the pain of heart break, so this gives us the opportunity to create a unique music video. We also really like the track, which is important as we be working with it for a long time and it means we are more likely to create something that we care about.
Another reason we chose this track is because it works well with the things we are able to do in a music promo video. We know lots of female who could be apart of the music video, so we need a female vocalist. Myself and Mia know how to play guitar, so we wanted a track were we could play the instruments realistically. Also the track is quite poetic, so we can interpret the song how we want and choose the location, props, costume, actors and style of the video without worrying if it suit the track.
